SPI Foods, Inc.

Fremont, NE – Plaza Belmont acquired the business and assets of Shade Pasta, Inc. from Norfoods, a subsidiary of the Andre Group, in November 1999 and renamed the company SPI Foods, Inc. The company, located in Fremont, Nebraska, manufactures extruded specialty cereal products and pre-cooked, shelf-stable lasagna noodles. Several changes in key management positions in both operations and sales were made and EBITDA tripled in less than 16 months.

The company was sold in August 2001 to the Kerry Group.

Premier Blending, Inc.,

Wichita, KS – Plaza Belmont acquired the business and assets of CPI Corporation in Wichita, Kansas in January 2001 and changed the name to Premier Blending. Premier is a formulator and manufacturer of dry blended food products including bakery mixes, pancake mixes, breading and batter for fish, meat, poultry and vegetables and powdered drink mixes. Premier sells its products primarily to the food service industry. The company operates seven blending lines with a capacity of 240 million pounds a year and has a variety of packaging capabilities. Premier’s 60,000 square foot facility houses production, warehouse, quality assurance, research and development and administrative offices. In 2003, Premier acquired pancake mix assets, including equipment and customer base from Cereal Food Processors. The equipment was moved to Wichita and produces private label pancake mix for several food retailing customers.

The assets of Premier Blending were sold in October 2007 to Bay State Milling Company, Quincy, Massachusetts.

Hilton House Foods, Inc.

Wichita, KS - The business and assets of Hilton House Foods, located in Memphis, Tennessee, were acquired in May 2001. Hilton House manufactures a complete line of powdered milk replacers for the ice cream and bakery industries. In September 2001 the business was moved to Premier Blending’s facility in Wichita. Hilton House’s operation is USDA Grade “A” approved and has the capacity to produce over 40 million pounds of dry blended dairy and dairy proteins per year.

The assets of Hilton House were sold in August 2006 to Main Street Ingredients, La Crosse, Wisconsin.

National Harvest LLC

Kansas City, MO - Plaza Belmont acquired a minority interest in National Harvest, Kansas City, Missouri in November 2001. National Harvest markets frozen potato products including a baked potato entree product under the “Bakers Express” brand sold through the grocery channel; a line of frozen potato skins, twice baked potatoes and frozen shredded potatoes sold through club stores.

The company was sold in September 2006 to an affiliate of Creo Capital Partners, LLC, Los Angeles, California.
